Best Places to Stay for Barranquilla Carnival: Top Areas and Hotels Guide
If you don’t know where to stay for the 2025 Barranquilla Carnival, we, the locals, have the best guide to help you choose wisely!
The best option is to stay in the north of the city. Although everything in Barranquilla is relatively close (just a 10-minute drive away), the north is the safest area and offers the best accommodation options. You’ll find everything from luxury hotels to more affordable stays, all well-located and with easy access to the main party hotspots.
One highly recommended area is Buenavista, home to the city’s four main shopping malls: Buenavista 1 & 2, Mall Plaza, and Plaza del Parque. The VIVA shopping mall is also nearby. In this area, you can walk to restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shops. Other great areas include Villa Country, Parque Washington, and El Prado, where a short taxi ride will take you anywhere you want to go.

As you can see on the map, Vía 40, the street where the three main parades take place, is close to all three recommended areas. However, there are still no high-quality hotels nearby where you can stay and walk to the parade.
