What is the Salvoconducto?
The Salvoconducto is the temporary permit granted by the Colombian government to a foreigner to regularize the exit or permanence of the national territory. It is an official document issued by the Colombia Migration Special Administrative Unit. This document may be of two kinds: for departure from the country (SC-1) or for stay (SC-2).
How to request or process the Salvoconducto in Colombia?
- Fill out the Single Procedures Form (FUT) on the Colombian Migration website.
- Scanned passport or identification document. (PDF maximum 3MB)
- Supports that validate your need to remain in Colombia or scanned exit ticket from the country.
- Schedule your appointment
- Approach the Immigration Services Facilitator Center with the original documents to finish the process.
- Bring proof of payment.
How to request the extension of a Salvoconducto?
The request for the extension of the Salvoconducto is submitted to the Facilitator Center for Immigration Services of Migración Colombia. This request must be submitted with the established guidelines and must be filed 5 days prior to the expiration date of the Salvoconducto.
